Primary is a great place to feel the spirit

I had the opportunity to sub in primary today. It has been awhile since I have had a calling in primary and it is easy to forget how energetic the children are. The sunbeam class I taught today were loud, but fun. I did talk to them about using their church voices, but I don't think it helped the volume one bit. Not to mention, the presidency supplied treats for the children and let's just say they went home on a sugar rush!

Sharing time was fantastic today. It was a class presentation. They transformed a classroom into the Sacred Grove. The scenery was amazing, with trees, flowers and shrubs. The boys in the class played Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and Joseph Smith. Two of the girls played a butterfly and a bird. As the children played their roles, the teacher read the words to "Oh, How Lovely Was The Morning" while the music was played in the background. The spirit flooded that room! The spirit testified to all of those in that room of the truthfulness of that experience. I always find it amazing the level of understanding that the Jr. Primary children have of the First Vision. Their faith is so strong. I am truly grateful that I had the privilege of being in primary today.

Brooklyn is camping with Grandma and Grandpa. I miss her! I am rarely apart from my children, so her being away is a very new experience for me. I hope she is having a great time and enjoys her time with her grandparents! I hope in turn, she doesn't keep them up until the wee hours of the morning.
