Jordan, Emery and I went to the zoo today. We had a lot of fun, the weather was great and a lot of the animals were alert and playing. Our zoo even has a couple of Koalas on loan, so we were able to see them for the first time. They are soooo cute. They make the weirdest noise though. It's not what you would expect when you look at them. I'm sure their lady counterparts must find it attractive!
It was a gorgeous day to spend outside together. It is nice not to have a full schedule, for us to be able to take our time and slow down our normal pace. Emery really enjoyed the day and she was quite curious about the different animals. Everyone animal we saw today was a puppy to Emery. Even the huge Asian elephants were puppies! We tried to get her to say the animals' real names, but she would just chant "puppy, puppy!"
Tonight, Jordan had his last soccer game of the season. I was totally prepared this morning before we left for the zoo. I had the address for the field, all of his soccer gear, water bottle and his new favorite soccer ball. We were prepared and ready for a full day. When it was time to head up to the field, I plugged the address into my new navigation system in my car, and away we went. Guess what? There was no such place. I drove around that community for a half an hour, looking for the field. Frank was in his car, trying to get a hold of someone on his team to get a right address. At this point the game has already started. Jordan pipes up from the back of the car that he was going to say a prayer. As soon as he finished his prayer, I felt an impression that I should go back to where this phantom address should be. I headed back there and noticed that there was a fence behind the grocery store on the corner. When I drove up to the fence, sure enough, down the hill was Jordan's team playing. We rushed him down and he was able to join his team. I am so grateful for the faith that Jordan has in prayer. He just knows that if he asks, the Lord will answer him, he doesn't even question it. On a side note, his team won the game 5 - 0 and they ended up third in their division! Way to go, Stingrays!
